Race With Rod

Team Shake a Leg will race to change lives.

RaceToEvolv

ShakeALeglogo4_smOn June 25-26, Team Shake A Leg will take to the closed course at Oregon Raceway Park to compete with other teams and their $500 race cars. The NorthWorst Grand Prix is one of a series of low-budget, tongue-in-cheek, amateur endurance races promoted by the 24 Hours of LeMons.

This windswept endurance event in the rolling farmland of Grass Valley, Oregon will span two days with many opportunities for lighthearted competition and merriment. Each team can have up to six drivers of questionable judgement.

Team Shake A Leg's primary focus, however, is raising funds and awareness for the Limbs For Life Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides prosthetic care to individuals who cannot otherwise afford it.

One of the team's drivers is Chris Ridgway, a left-leg amputee and former X-Games Champion in adaptive motocross.

Chris also raced a partial season in the Grand Am Rolex Series in 2005.

Team Shake A Leg will throw a Kickoff party at Club Carrera on Thursday, June 23 from 5-8 pm, during which attendees can meet the drivers, meet the Executive Director of the Limbs For Life Foundation, inspect the slapped-together car they'll be driving and make per-lap pledges to benefit the Foundation.
